1971-2021: The Brick Turns 50!
The Brick started in 1971 as a single furniture store in downtown Edmonton, Alberta. 50 years later, you can shop with us from coast-to-coast. We serve Canadians from Victoria to St. John’s and operate over 209 locations and seven distribution centres. We are proud to have maintained the charitable and customer-first attitude we had when we first opened 50 years ago.

The Brick Group
Our company is a family of subsidiaries, including MidNorthern Appliance, a commercial and residential appliance supplier, and First Oceans, which sources furniture and other products for our business. Also part of The Brick Group is TransGlobal Service, which provides after-sales support to customers, and TransGlobal Insurance, which sells property and life insurance across Canada. TransGlobal Warranty Corp., meanwhile, administers our extended warranty programs.
