If you accidentally spray it while watering flowers or cleaning there will be no harm done to the heater.

Care Instructions
Steel Wipe down the metal frame with a clean, damp cloth to remove caked-on dirt and debris. Store indoors to prolong use. Glass Wipe the product's surface using a non-abrasive cloth with a glass cleaning solution. Plastic Wipe plastic with a soft, clean cloth on a regular basis. Strong chemical cleaners are not suggested, as they may damage the product's finish.
